Tranquility Bay Resort |
| Tranquility
Bay Resort takes most of the secondlife mainland sim of Umansky,
and endeavors to provide something for everyone. Tranquility Bay
is split into many areas, encompassing Residential lettings, an
80's sundeck club, Dolphin Cove Marina, open air concert parc, beaches,
gardens and Tranquility Falls park all of which are provided for
residents and non-residents alike.
We cater to all avatars types, including human, non-human, furry
and tiny - all are welcome on our shores, all we ask is that your
respect the people that live and work here and not wander around
naked, use excessive sound based gestures or any method of griefing
on the sim.
Dolphin Cove and Orca Bay, both have surfable wave systems, just
be sure to watch out for the local wildlife that give these two
areas their name. There is 7Seas
fishing available from the bait hut situated on the
Marina and there are two fishing enabled areas on the sim, one
at the marina,
and one on a sandy
isle in Orca Bay.
The club
house supports not just the 80's sundeck club, where regular
contests are held, but the two floor games room and Beck-Nemeth
retail outlet as well which hold venders not just of Beck-Nemeth-Enterprise
goods, but also those from stores such as "Paws
4 Thought" and "Flints Tinies". The games in
the gaming hall are all "Linden
Legal" skill-based games costing just L$10 a go and half
of that goes back into the pot which is paid out to the highest
scorer in a 24hr period. There is provision for vendors to
rent space in the outlet.

There are several areas designed for relaxation on the sim - Tranquility
Falls, a quiet area over looking the chapel and the outdoor
chess (Which is free to play by residents and guests alike).
There is a hidden area at the falls, can you find it?
The falls are also close to the compact woodland
which is bursting with wildlife. There are rabbits, squirrels, deer,
foxes and butterflies. Above the woodland is a floating
heart dancefloor, for those looking for somewhere a little more
private to spend time with their loved one (for best effect, set
the world to midnight when you get there).
Another peaceful place to sit is the the Marble
Garden, with it's "Hands of friendship" fountain and
enclosed walls which help add to the serenity of the gardens. And
all of the beaches on the sim have a social gathering point at campfires
to sit and while away the time with friends.
Also at the back of the sim is a small chapel, idle for smaller,
quiet virtual weddings. The Chapel
of Tranquility is set in its own grounds to allow complete privacy
if required and there are plenty of picturesque areas for the photos.
If you are interested in getting married on Tranquility Bay, please
contact a member of the
management team for more details.
Also there is the open
air concert parc, a relaxed, informal atmosphere where concerts
are held. This is a relatively new attraction to Tranquility Bay
Resort and we are always keen to hear from people who either want
to play at the venue, or knows someone that may be interested. There
is no set "Genre" that is acceptable, we will happily
consider any artist. If you are interested please contact a member
of staff in-world, or using the contact form
on this site.

Residential |
There are several styles and sizes of housing available
on Tranquility Bay Resort, each offering something different for
the renter and have been individually decorated. Any of the properties
can be personalised to taste and there is a modest prim limit available
with each to allow this. The decoration can be further personalised
either by contacting the staff to arrange removal of or changes
to the existing decoration upon rental. Any of the items that are
removed from the houses will give the renter "bonus prims"
to use on top of the allocated prims that come with each property.
Each renter also has the ability to control their own media streams
and access to the parcels they rent - and this will be explained
by a member of staff upon rental and welcome to the group.
The smallest properties are the Tiki huts right on the beach front
at the tiki
beach that slopes gently towards Orca Bay and the beach huts
at the Dolphin
Cove Marina. Both these locations offer wonderful views over
the water and are ideal for those that want to relax or surf.
The next size up are the Stone Cottages, these are positioned into
two residential squares - one, Main
Square, is located next to the mall, and the other is a smaller
and positioned behind Orca Bay. Each of the cottages are decorated
in their own individual style, no two having the same character.
There are also two larger houses on the Resort, Falls
House and Waterfront Isle. Both of these have stunning views,
Falls House, as the name suggests overlooks Tranquility Falls and
the Marble Garden, and Waterfront Isle, overlooks a pretty beach
area and is situatated on its own "personal island" within
the sim.
The prim limits for the properties are as follows:-
- Orca Tiki Huts - 10 prims
- Dolphin Cove Beach Huts - 25 prims
- Stone Cottages - 50 prims
- Falls House/Waterfront Isle - 60 prims
Extra prims are available to rent at the rate of L$15 per week
for 10 prims. This is subject to availability and is done on a "first
come, first served" basis.

Other Lettings |
In addition to the residential lettings on the sim, there are
also three mooring slips for your boats available to rent on the
marina at Dolphin Cove. They are available at a rate of 200 linden
per week for 75 prims.
As with the residential lettings, more prims
are available on request on a "first come first served"
basis at an extra 15 linden a week per 10 prims.
As has also been mentioned, there are opportunities for the rental
of a limited number of prims in the mall area for the placing of
vender boards. We do ask that there are no items of an "explict"
nature or any weapons of any kind for sale - this is because we
want the sim to be enjoyed by all, and some residents of Secondlife
may find the above mentioned items offensive or distasteful. For
a full list of the rules please contact a member of the management,
and the price works on roughly 2 linden per prim.

Meet the team |
Manager
Myravon Lamont is a long standing friend of Sorka.
He has been there since the very first somewhat timid attempts at
terraforming and has helped keep Sorka sane whilst building the
resort. He took on the managerial role at Sorka's request when she
realised that the development was too much for her to look after
alone, especially when she was helping Forty manage his developments.
He lives on the Resort above Orca Bay. |

Assistant Manager
Mirayeth Messmer is a long standing friend of
Myravon, and Sorka's "Secondlife sister". She was one
of the first residents of Tranquility Bay, and recently agreed to
take on officially the role she had been performing for months and
assist Myravon and Sorka in the general up-keep of Tranquility Bay
Resort. She also is resident on the resort, close at hand if needed. |
