Tranquility Bay Resort |
Tranquility Bay Resort covers the whole of the secondlife mainland sim of Umansky, and endeavors to provide something for everyone. Tranquility Bay is split into many areas, encompassing Residential lettings, Dolphin Cove Marina and Shopping Area which has a limited number of "New England" style stores to rent and is also where you can find our clubhouse which plays a range of music from the 60's through the 70's and 80's to present day. Tranquility Bay Resort also has beaches and gardens throughout the sim, including a paved open-air cafe styled area at the heart of the shopping area, all of which are provided for residents and non-residents alike.
We cater to all avatars types, including human, non-human, furry and tiny - all are welcome on our shores, all we ask is that your respect the people that live and work here and not wander around naked, use excessive sound based gestures or any method of griefing on the sim.
Dolphin Cove has surfable wave systems, just be sure to watch out for the local wildlife that give this area its name as well as the boats we have moored at the marina. There are also several 7Seas fishing areas available on the resort, one is the bait hut situated on the Marina another is the island in Orca Bay. Both areas have stunning views out over open, protected Linden ocean.
The clubhouse has plenty of room inside with relaxed seating areas and "Mahjong" table which is free for everyone to use. It also has the disco dance floor. To one side of the main dance floor there are games that are all "Linden Legal" skill-based games and costs just L$10 a go, half of which goes back into the pot which is paid out to the highest scorer in a 24hr period.

Though the whole sim is designed for relaxation there are several very peaceful areas you might wish to explore - from the quiet garden area in the center of the residential square, with its "Hands of friendship" fountain and enclosing walls that overlooks the Tiki beach and Orca Bay, to the outdoor chess (Which is free to play by residents and guests alike) and the peace of the "Romance Beach" tucked away over looking the open water next to the marina, with plenty of poses for you and your loved one to enjoy (all PG).
The resort is bursting with wildlife. There are rabbits, squirrels, deer, foxes and butterflies. Above the Resort is a secluded floating heart dancefloor, for those looking for somewhere a little more private to spend time with their loved one. It has a romantic rug with chocolates, wine and roses which is perfect for cuddling up, there is also an "Intan" dance system loaded with the latest "Bits and Bobs" dances. To get the best effect, you should set your client world settings to midnight when you get there.
All of the beaches on the resort have social gathering points, with campfires to sit around and while away the time with friends. There are several distinct beaches to choose from each with their own "feel", these include the Tiki beach, Romance beach, and Party beach.
Also there is the open air, floating concert stage that can be provided to allow a relaxed, informal atmosphere for concerts. This is a relatively new attraction to Tranquility Bay Resort and we are always keen to hear from people who either want to play at the venue, or knows someone that may be interested. Residential Information
There are several styles and sizes of housing available on Tranquility Bay Resort, each offering something different for the renter and have been individually decorated. Any of the properties can be personalised to taste and there is a modest prim limit available with each to allow this. The decoration can be further personalised either by contacting the staff to arrange removal of or changes to the existing decoration upon rental. Any of the items that are removed from the houses will give the renter "bonus prims"to use on top of the allocated prims that come with each property. Each renter also has the ability to control their own media streams and access to the parcels they rent, which is covered on the "Tenant's Notes" page, but is also explained by a member of staff upon rental and welcome to the group.
The smallest properties are the Tiki huts right on the beach front at the tiki beach that slopes gently towards Orca Bay. This location offers a wonderful view over open, protected Linden ocean and are ideal for those that want to relax or surf.
The next size up are the Stone Cottages, these are positioned into a residential square which looks over Orca Bay. Each of the cottages are decorated in their own individual style, no two having the same character.
There is also a larger house on the Resort, situated on the Waterfront Isle. This has stunning views, overlooking a pretty beach area, Orca Bay and protected Linden ocean. It is situatated on its own "personal island" within the sim to ensure the utmost privacy.
The basic prim limits for the properties are as follows:-
- Orca Bay Tiki Huts - 10 prims
- Stone Cottages - 50 prims
- Waterfront Isle - 60 prims
Extra prims are available to rent at the rate of L$15 per week for 10 prims. This is subject to availability and is done on a "first come, first served" basis.

In addition to the houses, we have a number of mooring slips available on Dolphin Cove Marina, these can cater for modest sized boats and although they come with a 75 prim limit, it is possible to rent more prims if your boat needs more then that. They are suitable for boats up to approximately 20m from bow to stern and approximately 10m from port to starboard. If you are interested in one of these spaces but aren't sure if you boat would fit, then please contact a member of the management team who can give you a "Tranquility Bay Resort" tag to allow you to place the boat to check if our slips are suitable. The mooring slips are available from L$200 per week.
