Paws 4 Thought |
Although Paws 4 Thought isn't strictly part of the Beck-Nemeth Enterprise portfolio it is owned and run by one of our managers, Zenobia Fimicoloud, so we thought it would be nice to include it on this area of our website.
She has several stores with us, with at least one on each sim we have a major presence on, including Walleye, Nanda and Umansky which is a testiment to how quickly her business is developing and growing. She has several ranges of products and is expanding these and adding new ones all the time, her ranges covers furniture for your home and garden, gifts for all occasions, and most recently personal accessories aimed at the Neko market, including tails and collars.
A little history
She started her business in Secondlife in March 2008, selling art in one of our 10x10 stores on Walleye, which was a relatively new (at that point) development for us. Within a month of opening, it was clear that the store was no longer forfilling her needs as she started to build affordable, low prim, Neko furniture with an obvious catty theme and had no-where to display it. Sympathetic to her plight, we suggested another store further down the development, in a area we had only just opened up and she readily agreed, the spot is where her main store remains.
As business continued to flourish, she started to look for yet more space for her furniture range, and once again we were in a position to suggest another of our stores to her, this time on the sim of Nanda. This development, although smaller, was already getting busy for our other tenants. She set up her "Showroom store" with the intention of allowing people to try the poses in the furniture before they thought about buying it. Her ranges continued to grow and flourish and it wasn't long before she was looking for yet another store, this time for her gift range.
We had a smallish plot on the Klens sim, which was on the edge of a linden road. At the point she was looking, we didn't really have any plans for the land, so offered it to her, gave her some input in the sort of building she wanted, etc. She was thrilled, and quickly set up a lovely store for her gifts, with a small courtyard and fountain of her own creation - she recently let this store go to consolidate her holdings.
Towards the end of last year, the SL recession started to hit some of the smaller businesses that were renting with us, and Nanda was left with only 2 tenants. About that time Fortyniner and Zenobia were discussing her "dream" of having her very own "Paws Plaza" - an area where she could gather together all her ranges in one place yet still have room to keep them as seperate stores. Forty looked at the Nanda area, arranged to move off the sole remaining tenant that wasn't Paws 4 Thought to another of our developments, and offered Zenobia the land to do with as she wished.
So where her humble showroom store once stood, her three floor megastore now stands. The main building of the plaza holds her furniture and gift ranges on the first two floors, and the third floor is for her Neko accessories.
The plaza also holds her seasonal store, the stock of which rotates with each holiday providing gift and decoration ideas for things like Valentines Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. As well as her "Bargin Basement" store which is where she puts her old lines at reduced rates.
